Interest in computer science as a career choice has increased substantially in the past few years and is predicted to be an area of fast growth throughout the next decade. This department continues to contribute to advances in Computer Science and is striving to improve its stature as one of the leading computer science departments in the nation. We instill in our students values, vision and training that will prepare them for a lifetime of continued learning and leadership in the field. Besides nourishing basic research in the core areas of Computer Science, we are also pursuing opportunities to be involved in interdisciplinary research activities so as to strengthen and broaden our field.

Our graduates have moved on to start exciting careers throughout the nation and all across the world. Our top students have taken leadership positions in industry or continued their education by doing graduate studies in North America, Europe, and Australia. Prospective students and their families are encouraged to visit our department. A tour of the facilities is given and a meeting with an academic counselor and faculty member is arranged.
