Biography

Biography: [Aiman Lameesa] I am Aiman Lameesa, a passionate academic researcher born on 2nd February 1999 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. From a young age, I harboured a curiosity and fascinated for learning, laying the foundation for a journey filled with exploration, growth, and meaningful experiences. Early Years and Education: Raised in Dhaka, I was surrounded by a supportive family that encouraged curiosity and a love for learning. The formative years of my education took place at Viqarunnisa Noon School & College, where I discovered my interest in Information and Communication Systems. Later, I earned my degree in Robotics & Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Dhaka. Throughout my undergraduate years, I immersed myself in the essential principles of Computer Science, Electronics, and Mechanical Engineering. This educational journey not only provided me with a robust understanding of these disciplines but also motivated me to pursue advanced studies in the dynamic fields of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Professional Journey: During my postgraduate studies in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), I actively engaged in numerous projects focusing on Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Natural Language Processing (NLP). As a research assistant, I dedicated my efforts to investigating the intersection of Computer Vision and NLP, particularly in the realm of Medical Visual Question Answering. While delving into my research endeavours, I had the privilege of taking on the role of a Lecturer at American International University - Bangladesh (AIUB). This dual role not only allowed me to delve into cutting-edge research but also provided a platform to share knowledge and insights with students, fostering a holistic approach to both academia and practical applications. Personal Values and Beliefs: At the core of my identity are my values—integrity, kindness, and a commitment to environmental sustainability. I believe in the principle of reciprocity, understanding that the positive energy we invest in the world comes back to us. This belief shapes my interactions, decisions, and the way I navigate the complexities of life. Future Endeavours: Reflecting on my journey thus far, I am profoundly thankful for the diverse experiences that have shaped and defined the individual I am today. Anticipating the road ahead, I am filled with enthusiasm for advancing my career as a professor and academic researcher. Whether it involves achieving new milestones in my professional journey or making meaningful contributions to society through education and research, I am eagerly preparing to seize the opportunities that await me in the future.
