Prof. Dr. Firoz Ahmed is currently working at American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) as Professor in the Department of Computer Science under the Faculty of Science and Technology. He worked as a Professor in the Department of Information and Communication Engineering (ICE), University of Rajshahi from February 2019 to September 2023 (Currently he is on lien leave from Rajshahi University). He started his job at University of Rajshahi from November 2004 as lecturer in the same Department. Before that (From July 2002 to October 2004) Prof. Firoz acted as an Assistant Professor and served as a Head and Dean in the Department of Computer Science and faculty of Engineering at BCMC College of Engineering and Technology, Jessore, Bangladesh. He has more than 21 years of teaching and research experience. He supervised Masters as well as Undergraduate students to accomplish their theses. Dr. Firoz obtained Ph.D. degree in Information Technology from University of Ulsan, Ulsan, South Korea in 2012 and Master (MS) and Bachelor Degree in Computer Science from University of Madras and Andhra University, India in 2000 and 2002 respectively. He also worked as a Post Doctoral researcher at Graduate School of Information and Communication Engineering, Ajou University, Suwon, South Korea. Moreover, he is server as an External Examiner for evaluating PhD Thesis (Around 15 PhD Thesis) for various universities in India. His research areas include Mobile ad-Hoc Networks (MANETS), Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), Internet of Things (IoT).
