Biography
This is Syeda Asrafa Islam, currently serving as a Lecturer in the department of Computer Science under the Faculty of Science and Technology, AIUB, Bangladesh. With a fascination for learning different programming languages, I have completed both my Master of Science in the department of Computer Science with a specialization in Software Engineering from AIUB and completed my Bachelor of Science in the department of Computer Science and Engineering from AIUB.
Before joining AIUB, I worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Primeasia University. In this role, my responsibilities included preparing and administering tests and exams, conducting online classes when required, advising students, creating question papers, evaluating answer scripts, and more.
During my undergraduate studies, I achieved a CGPA of 3.98 and served as an undergraduate Teaching Assistant (TA) during a four-month internship at American International University-Bangladesh. In this period, I was responsible for helping with learning strategies, conducted laboratory research, and monitored student progress which enabled me to acquire additional skills that include creativity, leadership, and adaptability.
Additionally, I received Summa Cum Laude (Gold Medal) for academic excellence at the 21st Convocation and also received the prestigious Dean’s List Award six times for my excellent academic results. Furthermore, I enjoyed merit-based academic scholarship during my Bachelor of Science studies. Alongside this, I participated in several competitions and achieved the First_Runner_up position at the Pitching Competition on the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR technologies) and Second_Runner_up position at the WIE Climate Change Idea Competition. Both of these competitions were organized by the IEEE Bangladesh Section.
My research interests encompass Machine Learning, Big Data, Software Engineering, data mining, data analysis, data visualization and Management Information System. I possess strong scientific research abilities and proficiency in various referencing styles.
