Dr. M M Manjurul Islam is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), Bangladesh (currently on leave). He was a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the Center for Digital Industry of Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK), a top research institute in Italy, where he expanded his research and collaboration with the finest institutes and universities including University of Trento, Italy. He received a Master's leading Ph.D. (Computer Engineering) degree from University of Ulsan, South Korea in August 2019. Prior to joining academia, he was an IT Professional at global technological companies including Accenture and Grameenphone. His main research interests include prognostics and health management (PHM), machine learning, artificial intelligence, signal processing, safety analysis, diagnosis and diagnosability, and formal verification of industrial critical systems. He has published more than 40 conference and journal papers in the fields of predictive maintenance and artificial intelligence and has served as an editor of a special issue of MDPI Energies journal. Additionally, Dr. Manjurul is involved with various research communities at home and abroad by serving as a member in organizing committee, technical committee, technical co-chair, and reviewer in high impact peer-reviewed journals including IEEE Transaction on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Artificial Intelligence, IEEE Transactions on Cognitive Communications and Networking, IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering, IEEE Access, Measurement, MDPI Sensors, Energies, Applied Sciences, and Hindawi.
