DR. ANWARUL ABEDIN LECTURE SERIES: INSIGHTS ON 5G FROM a RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
On the 06th day of May 2021, an informative webinar titled as ‘Insights on 5G from a research experience’ was held as a part of “Dr. Anwarul Abedin Lecture Series” at American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). The webinar was organized by the Faculty of Science and Technology in the honor of AIUB’s visionary Founder Chairman Dr. Anwarul Abedin who catalyzed substantial transformation in the educational sector of the country. Dr Andres Gonzalez, Scientist, Telenor Group, Norway, was the esteemed guest speaker for the occasion. In his presentation, Dr Gonzalez illustrated his knowledge and experience on 5G research. He highlighted the demand and future of 5G technology. During the question-answer session, Dr. Gonzalez addressed numerous queries from the audience, elaborating on his valuable ideas. Prof. Dr. ABM Siddique Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB delivered an inspirational welcome message. In his speech, Professor Siddique focused on the significance of 5G technology in today’s world for re-shaping people’s lives. After the keynote session, Prof. Dr. Md Abdur Rahman, Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB, concluded the event by delivering vote of thanks towards the distinguished speaker and handed him a digital certificate of appreciation. Dr. Dip Nandi, Director, Faculty of Science and Technology introduced the guest speaker and moderated the webinar. Dr. Md Mahbub Chowdhury Mishu, Head, Computer Science, faculty members, officials, students, alumni of AIUB and professionals from industry were present. With almost 500 participants on the Zoom platform, the webinar was indeed a success.

AIUB INSTITUTE OF CONTINUING EDUCATION ORGANIZED A WEBINAR ON “CAREER DEVELOPMENT WITH FORTINET”
AIUB Institute of Continuing Education organized a Webinar on ‘Career Development with Fortinet’ held on Monday, 12 October 2020. The virtual event was hosted in Zoom and broadcasted live on the verified Facebook page of American International University-Bangladesh. Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, honorable Vice-Chancellor, American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) was present in this program as a guest of honor and delivered the welcome address. Mr. Rob Rashotte, Vice-President, Global Training & Field Enablement, Fortinet joined the event from Canada and delivered the keynote speech on the event. Mr. Md. Manirul Islam, Director, Institute of Continuing Education, AIUB coordinated the webinar where more than 300 participants joined this virtual event.
AIUB COMPUTER CLUB (ACC) ORGANIZED VIRTUAL ORIENTATION OF SUMMER 19-20
On 28th August 2020, AIUB Computer Club (ACC) successfully organized the “Virtual Orientation Program” for the newly recruited members of the Summer 2019-20 semester using the online platform Google Meet. This semester, from 264 students who applied for the membership of AIUB Computer Club ACC), 58 students were selected through the online viva session. AIUB BOISHAKHI ULLASH 1426
Surrounded by the beautiful greenery and architecture of the AIUB campus, the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), arranged the “AIUB Boishakhi Ullash 1426”, a daylong ‘mela’ on the 14th of April 2019, complete with diverse stalls of traditional food, ‘noboborsho’ specialties, handicrafts, local merchandise, etc. were set up by the students themselves, a ‘nagordola’, which is the traditional Bengali Ferris wheel, and a concert with a line up starring dance and musical performances from the university’s very own AIUB Performing Arts Club, followed by renowned icons, Mehreen, Minar, Band Lalon and Dolchut! The campus was beautifully decorated various interesting and unique props, danglers, and characters, as well as an inspired road painting, done by volunteering students together with the Architecture Department and the AIUB Arts Club, reflecting the traditional Bengali culture.

Admission & Registration Procedure and Schedule For SUMMER 2018-19 Listed applicants are selected for admission in the Undergraduate & Graduate Programs on the basis of their Academic Background, Admission Test Result and Viva Score. Selected applicants are requested to contact at Room 6215 (Annex – 6) (Permanent Campus) for Admission and Registration procedure starting from May 07, 2019 (Tuesday) to May 14, 2019 (Tuesday) [Except Friday, Saturday & Govt. Holiday]. Students are required to pay Admission and Registration Fees (Cash, P.O., DD) at the time of Admission.
